If Viewers Don't Press Play You Lose
If you spend time on video sharing
sites, And if you are doing video production research then you should watch as many video pieces as you can
stomach. Over 54% of all Web traffic is online video now.
Take a look at the most watched videos on the leading video sites. Ask yourself. Why did you press play?
Pay close attention to WHY you pressed play.
Was it because you liked the title?
Was it because you liked the thumb print still image ?
Were you referred by a freind?
Keep this in mind for all your video publishing. Viewers have thousands of choices in every
category.
If you want viewers to see your video you had better make your title catchy and you should have a thumb
print that screams watch me.
Green Screen and Chroma Key Technology
Finally for use by the little budgets of the world. No longer just for big broadcasting networks with
million dollar budgets. I love to use the green screen for my video backgrounds. I have grown fond of a software called Visual Communicator 3. It is simply amazing. You don't need
to be an expert about video editing and you will be making great videos in the first hour. That's not to say there is not hours of learning
involved. This is a powerful program and it is worth learning how to fully utilize it's full potential.
Chroma Key and Green Screen
Lesson 1
When I started using virtual sets which is what a green screen is for. I tried it first
with a web cam (Logitech 5000). It was very frustrating to get the lighting to cooperate. A camcorder works much better if you
plan to use a virtual set. Below I have an example for you. Notice how crisp and real the virtual set (back ground)
looks.
